Nuzlocke-Challenge awards
Nominations ballot count: 20

Nominations are coming in nicely, though we could always use more!  Just a few tiny things from what's come in so far:
--When you send your nominations in, we would greatly appreciate you linking to the users you're nominating!  That will make things much easier on our end - we may accept every single submission that makes it in to the group, but that doesn't mean we follow every Nuzlocke closely enough to recognize every nomination!
--A small reminder that all the character awards, particularly the 'protagonist' award, are available for Pokemon as well as humans!  Obviously the main character drives a Nuzlocke, but I've been a bit surprised at how few Pokemon have been nominated.

Monotype tournament
Battles concluded: 62 / 162

The end of the month is approaching quickly!  In the interest of getting as many battle in as possible, I will be extended the deadline slightly so that the tournament ends on a Sunday, namely August 3rd - that way, people can use that final weekend to get in as many remaining battles as possible.

I am currently composing notes to everyone who has two or fewer battles from their schedule completed thus far, (eleven people total,) so hopefully people who forgot they signed up will be reminded. =-)  People who don't respond in a week or so will have their battles blanked as draws.

As of right now, even if we only gave prizes to the top eight participants, (and we plan on giving prizes to more if possible,) the cutoff would be at just six points!  Since that's fairly low considering a 6-0-6 record would still get you 12pts before handicaps, there's still a large opportunity for people to get into prize territory!

Speaking of handicaps, those were calculated based on each player's total schedule.  If we get to the end of the month and there are still a bunch of uncontested battles I will recalculate handicaps based on the battles that were complete, and will likely go to an 'average points' scoring to level the playing field between people who completed their schedule and those who didn't.

Finally, since we now have two events going on, in the interest of keeping inboxes organized I'll request that all battle replays be sent to my personal account exclusively from now on so our group inbox can focus on the awards nominations.  Thank you in advance!
